A while back, there was a viral post on X (twitter) saying that the jewelry making of a high-end overseas brand was "sloppy."
There was a photo of a ring with a diamond set at an angle.
Also, regarding another high-end overseas brand's jewelry, I occasionally hear about ``stone falling'' where diamonds come off. I think it largely depends on the usage conditions, but it may also be due to "sloppy" construction.
In my opinion, jewelry produced in Japan is (on average) of higher quality than famous overseas brands.
Japan's technology for making jewelry is top class in the world.
