◎ Eye Clean <br data-mce-fragment="1">Natural diamonds almost always contain inclusions (impurities).
"Eye clean" means that no inclusions can be seen with the naked eye without magnification using a loupe or microscope.
When purchasing diamonds, we recommend "iClean" diamonds.
◎Clarity and eye cleanliness <br data-mce-fragment="1">This "eye clean" is an old term, and now "clarity" describes the level of inclusions.
For a 1 carat round brilliant cut diamond, the following is said:
IF 100% diamonds are eye clean
VVS1 99% of diamonds are eye clean
VVS2 99% of diamonds are eye clean
VS1 95% diamonds are eye clean
VS2 85% of diamonds are eye clean
SI1 50% diamonds are eye clean
SI2 15% diamonds are eye clean
◎ Recommended "Clarity"
In fact, for a 0.3 carat round brilliant, even an SI1 diamond is more than 90% eye clean. So, to be honest, SI class is enough. By the way, the price difference between VS2 and SI1 is 10% to 15%.
